Heeeyyyyy... Guys...
First of all. I had no idea that my Instagram was feeding to Tumblr. Eh.. yeah, ok.
I’ve been taking a few days to chill and regroup and been dealing with some personal stuff. Everything is fine, and I’m doing great. I just needed a little space from the world of the internet for a while. I know it wasn’t very long, but even the smallest breaks can be helpful.
Thanks for...
Hello Goodbye.
I know, everyone hates these posts…
I’m taking a break from this site for a bit.
Peace out!
Some things about today...
I had a work meeting this morning and a TON to get done today after. So I went to my work meeting then we ate lunch and came home. I finished the laundry, tidied up the kitchen and started school work with the boys. It was kinda challenging to get them back into the groove of work, but they had a good time today.
I was supposed to run six miles. But honestly, I didn’t have a ton of...
So... Yeah..
I ran this afternoon. 4.6 painful miles in about 53 minutes. I really underestimated how fatigued I am. But the run is done and I am enjoying dinner with She.
Tomorrow’s a new day.

Beyond the iPod: Why I race music-free (most of...
Music is illegal in all USAT sanctioned triathons. So when I started training I knew that all of my tris would be done without the pump of the headhphones. I’ve yet to do any tris that were very long, but I’ve run a couple of longer road races without music.
First off, I have no issue with training with an iPod. They have endless benefits. Music has lifted my spirits on many a...
@jbizzle
Try this bra.. Or any of the Endure bras. I prefer the ones without zippers, but they’re all awesome.
Dear Under Armour..
Thank you for being unafraid to make the world’s most supportive sports bras. Yes, as a matter of fact, they do feel like prison for my boobs. But you know what? That shit is a good thing about 6.43345 miles into a half marathon.

In other news..
After a quick review of my Garmin detail from last year I realized I PR’ed by 25 minutes and 52 seconds and my overall pace improvement was 1:58 per mile. Damn..
Finally home..
We just got in, unpacked the car, and started the laundry. The kids are going to swimming in a bit so I’m going to yoga. This creaky body needs some heat and sweat. Plus, I need some alone… me time.
I had a fabulous weekend of racing, eating, and spending time with my family. I pretty much got everything I wanted for my birthday and I’m still really really happy. The race...
Happy Monday!!
We are up and moving around. The plan is to slowly pack and make our way out of town this afternoon. I’m feeling good. My legs are a little tight, but everything seems to be in good working order.
We are going to try to make a stop at the park before we leave town. Hope you all have a great Monday morning!!

The race was fantastic!!! I felt really good today and I’m proud of how I did. I’ll write up a full report tomorrow when I have a computer. Thanks for all the encouragement! It’s awesome to run the course again. The hill profile is nuts for this race so I’m thrilled with the time I got (all things considered). I worked hard, but I didn’t kill myself. It was just...
Awesome day!!
I don’t have a laptop this weekend so the phone posts are the best I can manage.
Made it to Austin and got my packet. We made a quick Whole Foods stop then checked into our hotel. After a bit of rest we met Mollie and Jason (with our kids), ate Italian food, and them came back to the hotel. I’m super tired and it’s been a challenging day for us all. Tomorrow the weather is...
